Physical Description


A six-pointed star with a ball finial at each point, with double ended rays between each point, the obverse bears a circular medallion of green enamel with a central shield of cream enamel inscribed with TAN TUY HY SINH, over an open ended wreath, encompassed by a yellow enamel border inscribed with NGHIA VU BOI TINH, the reverse is plain and inscribed with VIETNAM within a ribbed border, with a loop suspension, on a yellow ribbon with a red stripe.

This medal was conferred upon civil servants and cadres of all services in recognition of distinguished service and sacrifice in dangerous areas.
