Physical Description


A five-pointed star with shorter points in the quadrants, the obverse center bears a circular medallion with the inscription TUN RUG, the reverse is plain and bears the inscription VIETNAM on a ribbed background, on a white and red striped ribbon.

History


The decoration was instituted on May 12, 1964, by the Chief of the Joint General Staff, Republic of Vietnam Military Forces.

This medal was awarded to Vietnamese citizens, who in recognition of loyal service to the nation and loyalty to the opposition of enemy action.
