Physical Description


An eight-pointed compass rose with the longer arms ending in ball finials, with a wreath between the arms, the reverse is inscribed with BOI TINH within a border inscribed with CANH SAT DANH DU, with a suspension consisting of the Police Seal (a shield and an open book on a vertical sword and a wreath with a ribbon at the bottom), on a green and white striped ribbon.

History


This medal was conferred upon members of the Vietnamese National Service in recognition of meritorious service. It is also awarded to foreigners, civil servants, and Vietnamese citizens for meritorious accomplishment in public safety and administration.

The I Class is awarded for 25 years of service and is in gold.
The II Class is awarded for 20 years of service and is in silver.
The III Class is awarded for 15 years of service and is in bronze.
There is also a Unit Award which consists of the ribbon in a frame with the appropriate device according to the class.
