Physical Description

An eight-pointed star, the obverse bears a central medallion with a hand holding a downwards facing dagger, encompassed by a border inscribed on the top half with BIET CONG BOI TINH, and ribbed on the bottom half, on a red and white striped ribbon with a device on the ribbon.

History

This medal was conferred upon Vietnamese and foreign military personnel in recognition of exceptional meritorious service to the nation. It was discontinued in 1974.
