Physical Description

A six-pointed star, the obverse bears a central medallion with a cross paty and two crossed swords, the reverse bears the inscription VIETNAM within a border inscribed with NHAT TRI BOI TINH, on a blue and white diagonally striped ribbon with yellow trim and a ribbon decoration of the symbol of the Armed Forces.

History

The Unity Medal was awarded to civilians who contributed to the development of the Armed Forces and concerned with the well-being of service members and their dependents.
