History

The Polish Volunteer Arm Insignia was established during the Second World War for Polish volunteers who had been living abroad. It was worn below the Poland Armed Forces in the West Arm Badge on the left sleeve of military uniforms.

There are four different versions which feature flags of the wearer's former residence. One features a French flag, one features a Polish and Belgian flag, one features a Polish, American and (early) Canadian flag for volunteers from North America, and one features a Polish, Argentinian, and Brazilian flag for volunteers from South America.
