This medal was founded to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Victorious February.

It was awarded to all civilians, and military and police personnel, that participated in the coup d'état on 1948.

The obverse inscription translates to "Victorious February 1948-1973," and the reverse inscription roughly translates to "The 25th Anniversary of the Victory of the Working People."
