History


This Order was founded as a military decoration to recognize Czechoslovakian Military personnel, and foreigners, for personal bravery and leadership rendered during World War II, especially for service that led to the liberation of the Czechoslovak Republic.

The III Class Silver Medal was awarded to Commanders of battalions, companies, and commando personnel, and platoons.

The Order was discontinued on December 31, 1992.
