History


The Order was conferred upon Czechoslovakian citizens and groups in recognition of exceptional achievements and services within the field of production. This Order could also be awarded for strengthening socialism and the state's defence structures.

There was a total of 863 medals issued before it was discontinued in 1989.

This Order features several variations in the design and composition of the medals.

The Type I medals have two main versions, and they are numbered on the reverse of the medal.

The medals issued from 1951-1960 feature the reverse inscription “ČSR.”

The medals issued from 1960-1977 feature the reverse inscription “ČSSR.”
