History

This medal was founded by the Czechoslovak government in exile, and it was conferred upon Military personnel within the Czechoslovak Armed Forces in recognition of meritorious service during the liberation efforts against the Germans in World War II.

The Silver Medals awarded from 1943-1945 were manufactured in London and are composed of Silver.

The Silver Medals awarded from 1945-1948 were manufactured in Paris and are composed of Silvered materials.
