This Medal is a decoration of the Ministry of Defence. It is awarded to all members of the Estonian Defence Forces who have participated in international military operations. It may also be awarded to foreigners who contributed to the success of the Estonian Defence Forces campaigns.

It is awarded with a silver coloured palm branch clasp.

The reverse inscription translates to "In Service of Peace."
