History

The Pilot Badge is classified into four types based on changes in design during different political regimes.

The Type IV Badge has a circle above the flying eagle.

There are four versions of the Type IV Badge that differ in composition. The first version was worn on the dress uniform, and the others were worn on the service uniform. All versions have a circle embroidered in blue and white silk, and all are embroidered onto blue-grey wool.
