History


The Red Cross Decoration (1946-1949) was awarded to Greek and foreign men and women for meritorious service with the Hellenic Red Cross or other life-saving societies during the Greek Civil War from 1946-1949. A small star clasp could be awarded for additional citations.

The Silver Cross features an obverse inscription with the initials of "Hellenic Red Cross," and a reverse inscription that translates to "National Struggle."
