History

The Seamen's Pension Fund Medal was established by Royal Decree in December 1907, but it was later replaced by the modified Navy Medal in 1925. It was awarded to those who had performed a life-saving rescue at sea, or to those who had rendered services to the Navy Veterans' Pension Fund.

The Silver Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Navy Pension Fund."
