History

The Decoration for Exemplary Drivers was established by the Polish People's Republic in 1952 and was revised in 1963 and 1987. It was awarded to professional drivers, soldiers, and officers, as well as those employed by the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for meritorious service. It was discontinued following the collapse of the communist regime in 1989, but a similar decoration was established by the Republic of Poland in 2012.

The II Class Decoration features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "Exemplary Driver."
