History

The Cross of Merit of the Central Lithuanian Army was established and awarded by the Government of Central Lithuania in 1922. It was later recognised as a national Polish award in 1926.

It was awarded to Polish military personnel for participation in the Polish-led liberation of Vilnius from October 9 to November 19, 1920.

The Bronze Cross features an obverse inscription that translates to "Vilnius," and a reverse inscription that translates to "Central Lithuania."
