This Medal for the 10th Anniversary of Restored Independence was established in 1928 in commemoration of the 10 year anniversary of the re-establishment of the Republic of Poland. It was awarded to Polish military personnel, both professionals and volunteers, for active service and to members of the public service for a minimum of five years of service.

The Bronze Medal features the portrait of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski on the obverse.

There may be additional versions of the Bronze Medal that differ in size.
