The Polish Army Medal was established by the Republic of Poland in 1999 and is currently administered by the Minister of National Defence. It is awarded to foreigners or Polish citizens living abroad in recognition of their contributions to the Polish Army, cooperation in international and peacekeeping missions, and their efforts to educate others about Polish military history.

The I Class Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to "Polish Army."
