History


The Medal of Merit for School Construction was established by King Ferdinand I. It was awarded primarily in recognition of private initiatives for the construction of schools in Romania.

The I Class Medal has an obverse inscription that translates to "Ferdinand I, King of Romania," and a reverse inscription that translates to "Reward for Merit in School Construction."
