The Order of Commercial and Industrial Merit was established in 2000. It is conferred upon Romanian citizens and foreigners in recognition of meritorious service rendered to Romanian commerce and industry.
Membership in the Commander grade is limited to 800 members.
The Commander is identical to the Grand Officer, however, only the Grand Officer is worn with a Breast Star.
The Commander features a reverse inscription that translates to "Industrial and Commercial Merit."
