History

The Medal of Soldierly Virtue was awarded to Romanian citizens and military personnel in recognition of acts of heroism and bravery performed during periods of war. It could also be awarded in peacetime for contributions to the defence of the nation.

The II Class Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to "Soldierly Virtue."
