The Medal of the 10th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Romanian People's Republic was awarded to active and reserve military personnel in the Romanian Armed Forces, as well former members of the volunteer division, in commemoration of the founding of the Armed Forces of the Republic. It was also awarded to members of anti-fascist groups.

The Silver Medal features a reverse inscription that can be translated to "10th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of the R.P.R."
