This medal was awarded to veterans and descendants of the 1815 insurrection to "commemorate the Insurrection of 1815".

The obverse inscription translates to "Prince Milosh Obernovich I Prince Michael Obrenovich III" and the reverse translates to "For the Glorious Insurrection of Prince Milosh 1815. The Thankful Serbian 1865".
