History

This Medal was conferred unofficially to members of the National Movement to recognize meritorious service to the nation.

There are two versions of the Medal. The first model features the image of an eagle with spread wings on the obverse medallion, and it has the obverse inscription "SEMPRE PRONTI PER LA PATRIA E PER IL RE" and the reverse inscription "1920-23." The second model features the portrait of Victor Emmanuel III on the obverse medallion, and it has the obverse inscription "VITTORIO EMANVELE III RE D'ITALIA" and the reverse inscription "SEMPRE PRONTI PER LA PATRIA E PER IL RE."
