Physical Description


A circular medal, the obverse bears a central ribbed cross within a border with rampant lions and castle towers, within a border inscribed with A LOS HEROICOS DEFENSORES DE ALMERIA, the reverse bears the image of a ship at sea with a fortress in the background, with the inscription BOMBARDEO POR LAS FRAGATAS VITORIA Y ALMANSA 30 DE JULIO DE 1873, with loop for suspension on a blue ribbon with two red stripes.
