An ovular medal, the obverse bears the coat of arms of Catalonia with the emblem of the Engineer Corps, on a black background, encompassed by oak with the inscription CATALUNA 1873.

History


The Medal for the Engineers of Catalan was established by Royal Decree on February 8, 1881. The medal was conferred upon members of the three Engineers Corps that served in Catalonia in 1873 and showed an exemplary degree of discipline.
