The Cross for the Second Expedition to Fernando Poo Islands was authorized in Spain in recognition of the marines who participated at the second expedition to the islands of Fernando Poo, Corisco, Annobon, and Elobey.
The only version known of this Cross belongs to the Provincial Museum of Pontevedra.
The Cross features an obverse inscription that translates to "Expedition to Africa 1843," and a reverse inscription that translates to "To the Recuperator of My Islands."
There is not clear the date of the expedition; some resources stand that in the inscription features 1845 instead of 1843. This information is not confirmed.
