The Cross for Guipúzcoa was instituted in Spain by the regency of Baldomero Espartero in recognition of the members of the National Militia of Guipuzcoa who participated in the repression of the uprising in Guipúzcoa on October 1841.

The Cross features a reverse inscription that translates "To the Loyal Troops of Guipúzcoa and its National Militia on October 24, 1841."
