History


The Cross for Iniesta was authorized in Spain by the regency of Baldomero Espartero on May 5, 1841. It was conferred upon the military personnel who participated in the battle of Iniesta against Carlists troops on December 6, 1836.

The Cross features an obverse inscription that translates "To Patriotism."
