History


The Freedom Star was authorized in Spain by the regency of Maria Christina on May 14, 1841. It was conferred upon those individuals who entered Spain in order to restore the Constitutional Government in the 1830s.

The Star features an obverse inscription that could be translated to "Fatherland, Honor, Freedom Guiding Principles of Freedom."
