History


The Medal for Segovia was authorized in Spain by the regency of Baldomero Espartero on April 25, 1842. It was awarded to the Liberal troops who participated in the defense of Segovia against Carlists forces on August 4, 1837.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates "For the Freedom, Segovia August 4, 1837, Constitution of 1837."
The Medal features an open book with the inscription "CONSTITUCIÓN DEL AÑO 1837."
