The Medal for the M. N. of Cádiz was authorized in Spain by the regency of Baldomero Espartero in recognition of the members of the National Militia of Cadiz who participated in the repression of an uprising in Cádiz in October 1841.

The Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to "Freedom, Independence, October 1841."
