The Medal for the N. M. of Sevilla was authorized by the Spanish regency in recognition of the members of the National Militia of Sevilla that participated in the defense of the city in 1843.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates"Fatherland, Queen, Freedom, Defender of Seville."
