History

The Star for Cadiz was established in Spain by the Regency of Maria Christina in recognition of the members of the National Militia who defended the Constitutional government in Cádiz in 1823.

This medal features the same design of the M.N. Expeditionary Star but with different inscription.

In some versions, the central medallion is blue instead of red.
