The Medal for the Battles of Laguna and Villar was founded in Argentina by the Viceroy to reward the royal personnel who defeated a revolutionary army in the battles of Laguna and Villar.

The Medal was authorised in a single grade, Silver Medal.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "To the Effortful Men Winners in Laguna and Villar," and a reverse inscription that translates to "13th and 14th of September, 1816."
