History


The Cross for the Battle of Utiel was instituted by Royal Decree on June 20, 1815. It was conferred upon the Spanish troops who participated in the Battle of Utiel during the Peninular War, on August 25, 1812.

The Cross features an obverse inscription that translates to "Actions in Utiel," and a plain reverse.
