History


The Medal for Conde de Casa Rojas was an individualized award that was conferred upon D. José de Rojas and Sarrio on July 10, 1810.

D. José de Rojas was the eldest son of the Earl of Red House, who abandoned his life of comforts and luxuries and enlisted as a volunteer in the Infantry Regiment Provincial de Ronda to serve as a soldier.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Casa Rojas, a Model of Patriotism," and a plain reverse.
