The Cross for the Battle of Valls was instituted in Spain by King Ferdinand VII on April 27, 1815. It was conferred upon the troops commanded by General Teodoro Reding who fought against the French army at the Battle of Valls, Catalonia on February 25, 1809.

The Cross features an obverse inscription that translates to "The King for Courage with Effort," and a reverse inscription that translates to "25th of February, 1809."
