The Commemorative War Medal (1870-1871) was awarded to members of the Belgian Armed Forces in recognition of service in the Franco-Prussian War from July 15, 1870, to March 5, 1871. It was awarded as late as 1937.

The obverse inscription translates to “Strength In Unity.”
