History

The Medal for Jewish Political Prisoners of WWII was awarded to Jewish Belgians who had been imprisoned or interned as political prisoners during the Second World War.

The obverse inscription translates to "Jewish Political Prisoner of Belgium," and the reverse inscription translates to "Belgium Remembers, Auschwitz, Never Again." Both the obverse and reverse inscriptions appear in French and Dutch.
