History

The Order of the Belgian Red Cross is an unofficial Belgian order.

The II Class Decoration is awarded for 10 years of service in the Red Cross. A silver bar clasp may be awarded for each additional 5 years of service.

There are two versions of the II Class Decoration which vary in design. The first version has a wreath in between the arms of the cross, while the second version has a wreath that surrounds the entire cross. There are many versions of the silver and gold bar clasps which may vary in composition, size, and engraving.
