History


Established by King Frederik IX, this medal was awarded to recognize military personnel, including army, navy, and police who assisted in the transportation of King Christian X's coffin and stood guard at the funeral as well as Officers and members of the Royal Life Guards who were on duty at the King's hour of death, at the Amalienborg Palace.

The reverse of this medal is engraved with the date of King Christian X's death.
