Established by Queen Margrethe II, in commemoration of the 100 year anniversary of King Frederik IX's birth, this medal was awarded to the Royal Family, friends of King Frederik IX, and all members of the Royal Household who were involved in the Royal Theater memorial concert.

This medal has an associated clasp on it's ribbon reading, "1899-11MARTS-1999".
