History

Established by King Christian VII, this medal was awarded to recognize members of the Danish Naval Force that have rendered 25 years of good service to the Naval dockyard or Navy.

From 1844, this medal was only awarded to sergeants, NCOs, and privates, and from 1925, individuals ranked as Officers were eligible to receive this medal.

Individuals who have rendered 40 years of service may receive a gold oak leaf clasp on the medal's ribbon.
