The Decoration for the Siege of Lyon was established by Louis XVIII on September 26, 1814, but it was later suppressed on February 10, 1831.
The Decoration was awarded to surviving contributors to the 60 days of royalist resistance against the National Convention that lasted from May 30, 1793 to July 30, 1793.
