History

The Decoration for the Siege of Lyon was established by Louis XVIII on September 26, 1814, but it was later suppressed on February 10, 1831.

The Decoration was awarded to surviving contributors to the 60 days of royalist resistance against the National Convention that lasted from May 30, 1793 to July 30, 1793.

There are versions that resemble crosses and versions that resemble suns. In addition, the following variables may be encountered on the Decoration: crown; inscription; composition; size; manufacturer; enamel colour.
