History

The Medal for Prison Administration (Indochina) was awarded to prison officials in Indochina for 20 years of service, or for acts of courage and devotion while on duty.

The obverse inscription translates to “French Republic,” and the reverse inscription translates to “Honour and Discipline, Indochina.”

This version is identical to the Medal of Honour for Colonial Prison Administration awarded by the French government, except for the reverse inscription.

There may be versions that vary in size or composition.

It is uncertain when this Medal ceased to be awarded.
