Physical Description

An eight-pointed cross constructed of silver. The obverse centre bears a circular medallion with the coat of arms of Hamburg. The reverse centre bears a circular medallion with the Roman numeral "XX". On a loop for suspension with a red ribbon with white stripes.

History

The Long Service Cross was established by the Senate of Hamburg on June 6, 1839. The Silver Cross for 20 Years was conferred upon Non-Commissioned Officers to recognize 20 years of faithful service.
