Physical Description


A Maltese cross with a triple raised border, constructed of bronze gilt. The obverse centre medallion is lightly pebbled and features the crowned Hohenzollern coat of arms. The medallion’s ring features a raised double border. The reverse is similar, except the medallion features a Roman numeral ‘XXV’. On a loop for suspension, on a black ribbon with narrow silver side stripes.

History


The Military Long Service Cross was jointly founded by Prince Friedrich of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and Prince Carl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, and was conferred upon individuals who rendered 25 years of faithful service in the state contingent.
