For Twenty Years' Service: Silver with gilt centrepieces, 39 mm, very light contact, near extremely fine.

History

This decoration was originally founded by King Wilhelm I in a single class.

The decoration was amended by King Freidrich Wilhelm IV in 1842 to include a II Class Bar. The bar was redesigned by King Wilhelm II into a II Class Medal on July 4, 1913.

The I Class Cross was conferred upon Officers, and Military Doctors with the rank of Officer, in recognition of 20 years of overall exemplary military service.
