There was no standard issue fur cap. Waffen-SS personnel in colder climates ended up wearing a large variety of fur caps, many of which were captured from the enemy. Some had a visor, others were visorless. Some featured the regular Waffen-SS eagle emblem and death’s head insignia combination, others featured only one of the two, while some caps featured no insignia at all.
